Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional, part of RELX, seeks a Corporate Counsel to provide legal advice across multiple disciplines. You will act as a trusted advisor, strategic business partner, and practical problem-solver for the business, mentoring peers and developing playbooks to streamline operations.

The role requires leading with sound judgment, explaining complex concepts clearly to stakeholders, and advancing templates and playbooks that improve efficiency and consistency across functions.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations and policies in area of expertise.
• Ability to work independently and provide guidance to others.
• Strong communication of legal concepts to internal partners and external audiences.
• Experience drafting policies, procedures, and guidelines within an area of expertise.
• Experience mentoring and leading teams within a corporate environment.
• Ability to develop templates and playbooks to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver the organization's legal service with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Provide specialist advice on interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex queries.
• Contribute to functional strategy with specialist insights to meet business needs.
• Draft policies, procedures, and related guidelines to meet key principles and ensure compliance.
• Act as SME in technology, policy, regulation, or operational management; maintain external accreditations and current knowledge.
• Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying needs and communicating business information effectively.
