Novanta Corporation in Bedford, MA, is seeking a Senior Corporate & Commercial Counsel to partner with business units on commercial contracts and corporate matters across medical and industrial markets.

The role focuses on negotiating key customer and vendor agreements, refining contracting processes with the use of AI tools, and supporting SEC/Nasdaq compliance, Treasury, and Finance teams in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar membership in good standing.
• 8+ years of corporate legal experience.
• Experience supporting multinational manufacturing or high-tech organizations in commercial and securities matters.
• Proven experience developing and managing commercial contracting processes.
• Experience with SEC and Nasdaq compliance and corporate transactions.
• Strong integrity, ethics, and business acumen.
• Experience leveraging AI tools and contract technology to improve workflows.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contract negotiation and support for customer, vendor, and IT/G&A contracts.
• Refine and support contracts management processes and use of AI tools.
• Develop cross-functional relationships to implement best practices in contracting.
• Support compliance with securities laws and reporting requirements.
• Provide legal support to Tax, Treasury, and Finance departments.
• Maintain compliance with quality, environmental and safety regulations.
