ICONIQ is seeking a Senior Associate, Legal Counsel to advise on U.S. securities and investment advisory matters while collaborating across teams on policy development, training, and best practices.

The role supports global regulatory and client-service needs in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate holds a JD licensed in the United States, with 4+ years of experience, and a strong interest in growing into a generalist legal/compliance professional across multiple business areas.

Qualifications

• JD license to practice in the United States.
• 4+ years of experience at a top law firm or in-house legal department.
• Working knowledge of securities laws (Securities Act of 1933, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Investment Advisers Act of 1940).
• Experience collaborating across teams and advising senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in becoming a generalist in legal/compliance across multiple business areas.
• Familiarity with international securities or investment advisory regulations (UK, Singapore) is a plus.
• Curiosity about using AI tools to enhance legal/compliance workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal teams on compliance with U.S. securities and investment advisory laws, including matters under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Support securities and investment advisory matters in international jurisdictions (UK, Singapore) as needed.
• Monitor regulatory developments and help ensure timely compliance with evolving requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on policy development, training, and implementation of best practices.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries, examinations, and audits, coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.
• Provide general legal support across regulatory, fund, corporate, contract, and investment matters.
