Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a senior legal professional to represent the company in complex matters including privacy, AI, data governance, and risk assessments. This onsite role requires the ability to lead negotiations, manage outside counsel relationships, and guide proactive measures to minimize legal exposure.

You will advise managers across departments, draft strategic legal plans, and supervise a team of legal professionals. A JD and at least 5 years of relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have JD or equivalent and be licensed to practice law in the United States.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills are essential.
• Experience in privacy, AI, data governance, and risk assessments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Budget management: prepare and present budget recommendations for area of responsibility.
• Legal matter management: supervise outside counsel, monitor performance and budgeting.
• Conduct and direct negotiations for matters within a business area.
• Perform risk assessment and provide business guidance to identify and mitigate risks.
• Supervise Legal Specialists/Coordinators and support professional development.
