Job summary

Evans General Contractors, LLC is seeking an experienced attorney to join its in-house Legal Department as Corporate Counsel, Corporate Affairs & Compliance. Reporting to the General Counsel, this attorney will support corporate governance, entity administration, contractor licensing, enterprise compliance, company policies, internal business contracts, and related legal initiatives.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage governance, entity records, registrations, filings, and related corporate documentation.
• Support contractor licensing, qualifying-agent matters, government registrations, renewals, and multistate requirements.
• Develop practical compliance programs, policies, controls, training, and guidance, including ethics and records.
• Support compliance inquiries, internal reviews, investigations, government audits, certifications, filings, and responses.
• Draft, review, and negotiate internal business agreements; advise clients on terms, risks, and approvals.
• Build scalable legal systems and coordinate matters with outside counsel and cross-functional teams.
