Aspen Aerogels, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Legal team in Northborough, MA.

You will provide strategic legal advice across the business, draft and negotiate key commercial and governance agreements, and guide compliance, risk management, and regulatory matters for a fast‑paced, global company. The role collaborates with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams, including Sales, Finance, HR, Operations and IT.

Qualifications

• JD required with bar admission in good standing
• In-house corporate legal department experience
• Strong contract negotiation and governance/compliance skills
• Experience with corporate governance, securities and regulatory matters
• Excellent written and verbal communication across functions

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to support multiple business functions (Sales, Commercial, Ops, Finance, IT, HR, Investor Relations)
• Draft, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial and other agreements
• Oversee compliance, training programs, code of conduct, data privacy and trade controls
• Maintain corporate records, governance documents, minutes and resolutions
• Advise on employment law issues including hiring, performance, discipline, investigations, immigration and benefits
• Support enterprise risk management and reporting, including SEC disclosures as applicable
• Manage litigation matters and regulatory inquiries; participate in cross-functional teams
• Lead special projects and contribute to cross-functional committees
