Job summary

GS2 is seeking a Corporate Counsel to lead high-value transactional work across energy infrastructure and real estate, partnering with senior legal leadership on M&A and strategic growth. You will negotiate complex contracts, oversee site development, and drive project delivery while advising cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5+ years post-qualification experience, preferably with an Am Law 100/200 background, and a track record in energy, real estate, or corporate acquisitions

Qualifications

3–5+ years of post-qualification transactional experience.
Experience leading deal execution in energy infrastructure, commercial real estate, or corporate M&A.
Foundational training as an associate at an Am Law 100/200 law firm.

Responsibilities

Infrastructure, energy, and commercial development transactions: negotiate and structure complex contracts, land acquisitions, ground leases, and site development agreements.
Corporate M&A, joint ventures, and asset dispositions: support end-to-end deal execution, due diligence, and post-closing integration with the GC.
Business advisory: act as embedded legal partner to executives, development and engineering teams to streamline delivery and assess commercial risk.
