Job summary

Mango Languages is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support our legal function, focusing on commercial contracting—drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer and vendor agreements, and structuring terms to manage risk.

The role covers IP, employment law, regulatory compliance, data privacy, and more; you will conduct legal research and help improve templates and processes, including AI-assisted efficiency, under the Senior Corporate Counsel.

Qualifications

• JD and bar admission in good standing in any U.S. state.
• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
• Sound legal and business judgment; identify risk and escalate as needed.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce polished work.
• Curiosity and comfort handling legal issues beyond day-to-day work.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple agreements and deadlines.
• Clear communication to explain legal issues to non-lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate customer and vendor agreements.
• Identify and communicate legal, financial, operational, and business risks; escalate issues.
• Work with colleagues to structure contractual terms and facilitate contract execution.
• Draft and review RFPs and related responses; ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Refine contract templates, provisions, and playbooks; maintain records and workflows.
• Research a broad range of legal matters affecting Mango's business; collaborate with outside specialists as needed.
• Maintain understanding of Mango's contracting standards and participate in team initiatives.
