Job summary

Kelso Industries seeks a Corporate Counsel to manage and oversee commercial transactions and contract-related matters. The role emphasizes negotiating, drafting, and reviewing MSAs, vendor, and service agreements while ensuring compliance across multiple states.

The ideal candidate has extensive contract law experience, strong negotiation and drafting skills, and the ability to guide internal teams to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 4+ years in contract law, preferably in a corporate legal department.
• Active bar membership in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize MSAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws across multiple states.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in contractual agreements.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and sales to support business needs.
• Handle contract disputes and provide strategic resolution guidance.
• Conduct training on contract management best practices and legal compliance.
