Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) seeks a Corporate Counsel to serve as a trusted legal advisor to ASI, reporting to the General Counsel. The attorney will handle a broad range of matters for a rapidly-scaling company building autonomous vehicle technology across product verticals and will be the second in-house hire.

The role covers governance, commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, IP, labor, and risk management, with a focus on enabling responsible scaling and business growth.

Qualifications

• Must be from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Utah bar license or eligible to register as in-house counsel.
• 5+ years of legal experience focused on commercial transactions.
• Ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements independently.
• Strong business judgment balancing risk and commercial objectives.
• In-house or tech/industrial sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate governance, board materials, and entity maintenance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, software, hardware, and distribution agreements.
• Provide employment law guidance to HR and manage disputes.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation and specialized matters.
• Develop templates, playbooks, workflows, and training for the legal team.
• Advise on regulatory compliance including export controls and data privacy.
• Collaborate with product and engineering on IP protection and licensing.
