Qualifications

Overview

We currently have a need for a Senior Corporate Counsel who will serve as a member of the Company’s legal department and report to the Executive Vice President & General Counsel. The attorney in this position will be responsible for collaborating across all levels of the organization to provide legal advice both individually and with other Legal team members and outside counsel. This role requires the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while managing multiple demands.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc., consolidated a portion of the experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities
  • Perform corporate generalist functions such as contract review, litigation support, transactional due diligence, and other matters based on the Company’s needs
  • Review, negotiate, and draft contracts across various business functions, including construction subcontractor agreements, professional services and supplier agreements, NDAs, and other contracts
  • Draft and review company communications
  • Provide litigation support, including interfacing with and supervising outside counsel to ensure high-quality legal support at competitive costs
  • Identify legal risks for the Company and provide solutions to limit exposure
  • Analyze applicable laws, regulations, and industry guidance impacting the Company
  • Provide legal support and guidance to the Company’s business units as needed
  • Advise on employment, labor, insurance, and regulatory compliance matters
  • Provide other in-house legal services as required
Qualifications
  • 8-12 years of legal experience, with emphasis on Commercial transactions, Litigation, Risk and Compliance, preferably in the construction industry
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, litigation support, transactional due diligence, and insurance-related matters
  • Strong drafting skills with keen attention to detail
  • Broad experience in various legal issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or comparable software

- Compensation ranges from $130,000 to $175,000, based on qualifications and location. Exact salary will be determined accordingly.
