Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Corporate Controller to own the accuracy of monthly/quarterly close, ensure US GAAP compliance, and build scalable accounting infrastructure for a fast-growth EV manufacturing company. This role demands hands-on leadership, code of ethics, and deep experience in controls, tax, and external audits.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in accounting, CPA, and a track record implementing ERP systems (NetSuite) in a startup or high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including mix of public accounting and industry.
• Demonstrated experience owning a month-end close process at scale.
• Experience designing and implementing financial reporting controls.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• People management experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end month-end and quarter-end close with a fast close timeline while protecting accuracy.
• Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Design and enforce robust financial reporting controls and COA evolution.
• Oversee inventory, COGS, and capitalization decisions for manufacturing operations.
• Partner with FP&A for budget-to-actual analysis and clean, timely actuals.
• Lead and develop the accounting team and set a rigorous standard.
