Job summary

KemperSports is seeking an accomplished Corporate Controller to lead its enterprise accounting, payroll and controllership functions across 44 states and 10,000+ employees. You will drive GAAP-compliant financial reporting, close processes and strong internal controls, while guiding a large, distributed finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
• Experience overseeing large-scale payroll operations and payroll controls.
• Experience leading external audits and ERP/financial systems.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate accounting organization including general accounting, financial reporting and consolidation.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual close processes ensuring GAAP-compliant financial reporting and executive reporting packages.
• Establish accounting policies and governance across the organization.
• Oversee payroll accounting and multi-state payroll operations.
• Partner on tax, treasury and risk-management matters.
• Lead external audits and manage relationship with external auditors.
• Drive modernization and automation of accounting and payroll processes.
