Kemper is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Corporate Accounting team at the downtown Chicago headquarters. You will handle monthly journals, reconciliations, consolidations and financial reporting under US GAAP and statutory contexts.

Ideal candidates have a BA in Accounting, 3–5 years in accounting, CPA or CPA candidate, and ERP experience; Workday/Blackline is a plus. Competitive range from $70,000 to $117,000; strong growth opportunities within the department.

Competenze

• BA/BS degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of industry or public accounting experience.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Familiarity with US GAAP; familiarity with statutory accounting principles is a plus.
• Experience navigating a large ERP environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; Workday and Blackline a strong plus.

Mansioni

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries.
• Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations.
• Consolidate company operating information for internal and external financial reporting.
• Work with internal and external auditors and provide necessary support.
• Prepare analytical schedules, analyze variances, and provide support for internal requests.
• Lead process improvement projects and drive efficiency in accounting tasks.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements including statutory-basis statements.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
