Job summary

Soni’s client seeks an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations for the Major Projects group in Atlanta, GA. This role combines hands-on day-to-day activities with strategic leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

You will oversee budgeting, month-end close, and compliance with GAAP/SOX, while partnering with corporate accounting and field operations. CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
• CPA preferred; project-based or construction industry experience.
• Strong GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial operations for the Major Projects group.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and budgets.
• Manage month-end close and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Support project teams through full lifecycle from bidding to completion.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX.
• Develop and evaluate staff across accounting functions.
