Job summary

LSI Industries Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support the Financial Reporting team and collaborate with tax, legal, auditors, and business partners. You will assist with SEC filings, month-end close, GAAP financial statements, and SOX controls.

You will work closely with the VP of Accounting, Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, and Tax Director on special projects and ERP system issues (JD Edwards), ensuring accuracy and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Active CPA license and/or experience in preparing SEC financial statements for a publicly traded company is required.
• At least 5+ years of accounting experience in progressively responsible roles.
• Excellent Excel skills are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Supports preparation and filing of SEC forms (10-Q/10-K) and annual Proxy Statements.
• Maintains lease accounting software and related records.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepares account reconciliations using appropriate tools (e.g., Blackline).
• Participates in month-end close and consolidation processes.
• Assists with tax provisions and returns and equity compensation administration.
• Collaborates with auditors and internal control remediation under SOX.
• Supports ERP system issue resolution affecting finance policies and processes.
