Employer.com is a growing technology company seeking a hands-on Corporate Accountant or Senior Corporate Accountant to own core accounting operations. The role focuses on accrual-based bookkeeping, robust financial reporting, and month-end close across multiple entities within a fast-paced environment.

You will support intercompany transactions, M&A integration efforts, and the development of internal controls while collaborating with leadership across finance and risk functions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience; Senior level considered for more experience.
• Strong hands-on accrual accounting and bookkeeping skills.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, GL accounting, and financial statement prep.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, bank and account reconciliations.
• Ability to read and interpret P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accrual-based bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and GL maintenance.
• Own month-end and quarter-end close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and post intercompany and subsidiary journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Handle commissions, expenses, accruals, and other operational transactions.
• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Support accounting transitions related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline close processes and improve reporting.
