Employer.com, a growing technology company, is seeking a hands-on Corporate Accountant or Senior Corporate Accountant to own core accounting and financial operations across our business and subsidiaries.

This role emphasizes accrual-based bookkeeping, month-end close, financial reporting, control ownership, and support for mergers and acquisitions transitions. We welcome candidates at Accountant or Senior Accountant level based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience; Senior level for more experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accrual-based bookkeeping and journal entries.
• Own month-end and quarter-end close processes and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Prepare, post, and review intercompany and subsidiary journal entries.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain records across entities.
• Support accounting for commissions, expenses, accruals, and other transactions.
• Prepare and reconcile financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Maintain U.S. GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions-related accounting transitions.
• Identify process improvements to speed up close and reporting.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to meet operational and financial needs.
