Senior Corporate Accountant - Tier-1, publicly traded company in Irvine

A tier-1, publicly traded company is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to play a key role on their Corporate Accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Senior Accountant is responsible for joint venture accounting and financial reporting disclosures. This role is ideal for a Senior Associate from Big 4 or regional firms, or a Senior Accountant from a large company with a public accounting background, looking to advance their career with one of the largest publicly traded companies in Orange County.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting functions related to joint ventures, including distributions, contributions, and income allocations
• Prepare monthly equity method investment reconciliations
• Collaborate with the acquisitions team to prepare journal entries for acquisitions and dispositions
• Assist in preparing shareholders’ equity, including stock-based compensation
• Work with corporate accounting to prepare consolidating journal entries monthly and quarterly
• Prepare and review joint venture financial statements for reporting
• Contribute to the preparation of consolidated cash flow statements and schedules

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of Big 4 or regional public accounting experience
• CPA or progress towards CPA certification
• Ability to understand complex corporate structures and consolidations
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
