About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leading public company, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the general ledger team and offers a dynamic environment where your accounting expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will support key financial operations and strategic initiatives.

Location: Remote (Must reside in Southern California due to occasional on-site meetings)

Salary Range: $77,000 – $105,000

Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and reconciliation of key financial accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

• Execute month-end close procedures, including the development and posting of complex journal entries

• Perform in-depth financial analysis and deliver clear explanations of variances and trends

• Apply sound judgment in interpreting GAAP for non-routine or high-impact financial transactions

• Coordinate audit-related activities, preparing detailed schedules and substantiating documentation

• Contribute to SEC filings by assembling financial data and partnering with external reporting teams

• Support leadership with timely internal reports and strategic financial insights

• Drive efficiency through involvement in cross-functional initiatives such as process automation and policy optimization

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a public company environment, ideally with a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.

• Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP and its application in complex environments

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; capable of working with large data sets and financial models

• Effective communicator with the ability to present financial information clearly across functions

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
