Viasat is looking for a talented Senior Corporate Accountant to support our explosive growth in which Viasat has evolved into the premier global satellite communications provider to government and commercial customers.


The day-to-day

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be a key member of the General Ledger team by assisting in the overall month-end close process for the Company. You will be responsible for managing various account balances, preparing month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance explanations, assessing the proper GAAP accounting treatment for significant transactions, and working on one-off projects. You will also interface with external and internal auditors and assist in preparation of certain audit schedules, SEC supporting schedules and/or internal management reports.


What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word
  • Strong written and oral communication skills that enables clear communications to all levels of management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Accounting)
  • U.S. Citizenship

Salary range

$73,000.00 - $115,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $91,000.00- $136,000.00/ annually
