Applied Network Solutions Inc. in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Sr. Network Design Engineer (CORE WAN) to own and drive MPLS WAN architecture and service solutions. The role includes lab testing, security accreditation assistance, and documentation duties, with on-call support for Tier-4 production issues.

The position requires TS/SCI with a polygraph and a lengthy experience/education mix, including doctorate/master/bachelor equivalences. Competitive benefits and salary are offered.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
• Minimum 16 years of combined work history and education (e.g., Doctorate + 8 yrs, Master’s + 10 yrs, etc.).
• Experience with MPLS WAN architecture.
• Ability to develop MPLS WAN services solutions.
• Lab equipment evaluation, integration and testing.
• Assistance with security accreditation processes.
• Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
• On-call support for Tier-4 production troubleshooting and proactive network analysis.
