Job summary

NewGen Technologies invites applications for a Design Engineer – Core (WAN) to support government customers within a global enterprise network. The role emphasizes MPLS WAN architecture and hands-on router engineering to drive modernization and reliable service delivery in a mission-focused environment.

The candidate will engage in lab evaluations, integration and testing, and contribute to security accreditation and documentation.

Qualifications

• TS SCI CI Poly Clearance required.
• 16 years of experience-equivalence as described (Doctorate+8, Master+10, Bachelor+12, Associate+14, HS+16).
• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 IAT Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Own MPLS WAN architecture for the overall network.
• Develop MPLS WAN services solutions.
• Perform lab equipment evaluation, integration and testing.
• Assist with the security accreditation process.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Support Tier-4 production troubleshooting and proactive network analysis.

Network Architecture provides solutions for modernizing the network components while supporting service delivery for customer requirements in a mission-focused operational enterprise. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with hands‑on router engineering and/or operation.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Wide Area Network (WAN) overall architecture
• Developing MPLS WAN services solution
• Performing lab equipment evaluation, integration, and testing
• Assisting with the security accreditation process
• Developing and maintaining relevant technical documentation
• On as‑needed basis, the engineer will also be responsible for supporting Tier-4 production troubleshooting and developing pro‑active network analysis solution for the operations team.
