Capital Group is seeking a Core Operations Associate Senior on the Trade Operations team in Charlotte. You will support global equity trade processing, settlement, and risk monitoring across markets and client accounts.

You will analyze data, prepare dashboards in Excel/Power BI, and drive improvements to controls and scalability. Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset are essential, with collaboration across trading, operations, and service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, investment operations, trade operations, securities operations, banking operations, account servicing, or a related operational environment.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle processing, settlements, cash movements, reconciliations, exception management, operational controls, and risk management practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel including PivotTables, Power Query, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH and related formulas.
• Experience developing or using reporting or dashboards in Power BI or a similar BI tool.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong risk-aware mindset.
• Ability to operate in a high-volume, high-expectation environment with accuracy and clear communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Process- and results-driven orientation with experience improving or documenting processes.
• Comfort working in an evolving environment with independent issue assessment and cross-stakeholder collaboration.
• Demonstrated ownership mentality and accountability for outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Perform and support daily global equity trade operations, including trade capture and enrichment, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, exception management, and resolution of trade, cash, and position discrepancies.
• Investigate trade breaks and operational exceptions, assess downstream impacts, communicate findings clearly, and drive issues to resolution.
• Partner with Trading, Investment Operations, brokers, custodians, counterparties, and service providers to exchange information and support accurate processing.
• Use operational data to identify trends, recurring exceptions, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Prepare and maintain operational reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and risk metrics using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation efforts to reduce manual work and strengthen controls.
• Document procedures and participate in testing, implementation, and readiness activities for system or business enhancements.
• Demonstrate ownership for assigned work, manage priorities, communicate status and risks, and escalate issues appropriately.
