Job summary

RKD Group, a remote-first direct response marketing agency, seeks a Senior Copywriter to craft donor-centric copy for print, digital, video, and direct mail. You will collaborate with ACDs and CD to develop concepts that meet brand standards, production timing, and client branding guidelines across omnichannel campaigns.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of direct response fundraising experience, a strong portfolio, and proven copywriting across traditional and digital media.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in advertising, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Knowledge of direct response marketing best practices, particularly in fundraising writing for direct mail, digital media, and DRTV.
• 2+ years of direct response fundraising experience is required, including: Concept and campaign development; Copywriting for an agency, direct response firm, or fundraising organization; Creative development across traditional and digital media; Direct mail campaign experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop donor-centric, insight-driven, integrated creative solutions in collaboration with the Creative Group’s ACDs and Art Director.
• Collaborate with team members to develop offers, determine resources, and provide input on direct mail materials.
• Generate creative concepts and direction for marketing materials and campaigns.
• Serve as the resident client expert by gathering, organizing, and delegating resources, ensuring alignment with brand standards, tone, and messaging.
• Stay informed on client activities and developments relevant to their mission and outreach.
• Research marketing trends, strategies, and technologies to ensure best practices.
• Present and lead meetings with clients and agency teams.
• Manage timelines, write multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure quality control throughout the creative process.
