Job summary

MX is seeking an experienced Senior Copywriter to support a high-visibility B2B client. You will shape voice, brand positioning, and messaging architecture, then bring it to life across channels.

You’ll quickly learn the client’s business and translate complex technology into engaging ideas that are strategically sound and human-centered. You’ll collaborate with an art director, strategy, product marketing, and subject matter experts to create compelling messaging, write and optimize content,

MX is seeking an experienced Senior Copywriter to support a high-visibility B2B client. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious agency that punches above its weight where you’ll shape voice, brand positioning, messaging architecture, and then bring it to life. We're seeking a talented writer who can quickly become fluent in our client’s business, understand the nuances of their technology and audiences, and create work and ideas that are both engaging and strategically sound. You'll bring strong copywriting skills, an editorial instinct, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to balance smart technology with exceptional human judgment and storytelling.

What You’ll Do

Content Development & Execution

• Partner with an art director to create engaging work that strengthens our client’s position as a leading provider
• Collaborate closely with strategy and product marketing and subject matter experts to develop accurate, compelling messaging.
• Write and optimize content across multiple channels
• Maintain consistent brand voice, messaging, and tone across all touchpoints.

What We’re Looking For

• 5-7+ years of agency experience in copywriting.
• A portfolio that showcases versatility across industries, audiences, and formats.
• Experience in pushing B2B creative. B2C creatives are welcome too.
• Ability to translate complex product offerings into engaging concepts and communications for business audiences.
• Experience using AI tools to support content creation (This is 2026 after all.)
• Hybrid Work Requirement: Candidates must be able to work onsite in our Burr Ridge office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with occasional additional in-office days as needed to support business requirements.

Nice To Have

• Experience with global organizations and international audiences.
• Background in business integration, enterprise software, supply chain, managed file transfer, EDI, or related technologies.
• Agency experience supporting multiple stakeholders and content initiatives simultaneously.

Compensation Range: $90,000 - 105,000 annually. MX believes it will pay this pay range for this position at the time of this posting. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant’s experience, skills, and qualifications in addition to the requirements of the position. MX reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role qualifies for MX's benefits offering, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
