Job summary

KoBold Metals seeks a Senior Engineering & Integration Manager to lead the engineering delivery for the Mingomba copper project. You will direct design authority across civil, mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation, coordinating with the EPCM team through FEL stages.

You will own the engineering integration, drive constructability and operability reviews, manage risk, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of professional engineering experience in major capital projects.
• Lead engineering authority on the owner's side from FEED to mechanical completion.
• Experience managing and directing EPCM contractors across disciplines.
• Strong multi-discipline foundation; ability to challenge designs across civil/structural, mechanical, process, electrical, and instrumentation.
• Constructability, operability, value engineering, and HAZOP/HAZID facilitation experience.
• Experience developing engineering management plans, risk registers, design basis documents, and stage-gate submissions.
• Exposure to earned value management, progress measurement, and performance reporting.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills; ability to present to leadership and regulators.
• Bachelor's in engineering; Chartered status preferred; Africa experience is a plus; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Hold and exercise design authority for KoBold across all disciplines.
• Establish design basis, standards, and criteria; enforce with owner and EPCM teams.
• Own the technical risk register; drive resolution of engineering risks.
• Approve key deliverables: P&IDs, design criteria, datasheets, specifications.
• Direct scope freeze decisions, set timelines, and manage changes through stage gates.
• Lead engineering interface with EPCM and external stakeholders; monitor progress via EV metrics.
• Lead constructability, operability, and value engineering reviews; ensure knowledge is embedded.
• Oversee data, quality, and handover; ensure auditable technical records.
• Build and lead the KoBold engineering team; plan resourcing and development.
