KoBold Metals is seeking a Senior Commercial Director to lead the commercial strategy for the Mingomba copper project in Zambia, overseeing contracting, procurement, and market engagement. The role will cover the commercial pathway from PFS and engineering delivery to contract administration and handover, for a project with >$2B capex.

The successful candidate will manage a high‑performing team, ensure local content targets, and drive risk, governance, and performance across the project

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial leadership on large-scale mining or infrastructure projects.
• Experience formulating and implementing EPC, EPCM contracts with Africa exposure.
• Proven ability to manage local content, procurement, and supplier risk.

Responsabilités

• Lead commercial governance and procurement gates to support safe, predictable delivery.
• Develop delivery model and contracting strategy (EPC/EPCM/Design-build).
• Provide commercial inputs into executive forums and risk management.
• Collaborate with engineering on contract formation and change control.
• Lead commercial readiness for engineering, construction, and handover.
• Oversee procurement, market engagement, and long-lead equipment strategy.
• Manage local supplier development and ensure compliance.
• Drive cost control, forecasting, and contractor performance.
