Job summary

KoBold is developing Mingomba, a world-class copper project in Zambia, with over 10 million tonnes of copper and a >6% grade. This senior Commercial Director role leads the commercial strategy, contracting, procurement and market engagement to deliver safely, competitively and predictably, across EPC/EPCM and long-lead packages.

You will own the commercial pathway from PFS through operations transition, build a high‑performing team, and ensure value delivery for a US$2+ billion capital project

Qualifications

• Leads commercial governance, policies and procurement gates.
• Builds and directs a high‑performing contracting, procurement and supply chain team.
• Delivers major packages on schedule with controlled cost.

Responsibilities

• Establish commercial policies, approval thresholds and governance.
• Lead packaging, tendering, negotiation and contract formation for major packages.
• Manage supplier qualification, prequalification activities and market intel.
• Oversee risk, cost forecasting, and change control across the project.
• Ensure local content targets and audit-ready contracting processes.
