Job summary

Player 15 Group, the sports and entertainment company behind the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Valley Suns, and more, seeks a Senior Coordinator, Communications to support the SVP of Communications and the department. The role focuses on calendar management, travel, scheduling, and strategic communications across teams.

You will participate in planning PR events, developing briefs, and coordinating executive speaking engagements while monitoring media coverage and sharing story opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years professional experience, preferably communications or executive assistant
  • Experience in communications or PR and meeting tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for the SVP of Communications and other stakeholders
  • Manage complex calendars, travel, and scheduling for games, practices, events, and meetings
  • Develop agendas, meeting recaps, and coordinate executive speaking engagements
  • Assist in planning and executing PR events, briefs, and run-of-show materials
  • Maintain trackers, roadmaps, and archiving databases to support the team
  • Coordinate cross-department collaboration to improve productivity and identify story opportunities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our communications team as Senior Coordinator, Communications. The Senior Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the SVP of Communications and the communications department reach and achieve strategic goals and objectives.

Your Role on the Team
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for the SVP of Communications, including internal and external stakeholders, and showing up with professionalism, discretion, and high standards.
  • Manage complex calendars, travel, and scheduling across games, practices, events, concerts, league meetings, and business needs.
  • Manage key strategic meetings including, presentation and agenda development, and meeting recaps.
  • Assist with proactive outreach, scheduling and coordination of executive speaking engagements.
  • Manage, maintain and update trackers, roadmaps, calendars and develop and maintain archive database.
  • Assist in the planning, development and execution of PR events and engagements; develop briefs, run of shows and event schedules.
  • Manage PR/VIP tickets and experiences (as it relates to communications).
  • Monitor media and social media coverage and conversation.
  • Coordinate and collaborate across departments to help drive productivity and efficiency of the broader communications team and identify story opportunities
Your Skills And Experience
  • Highly skilled in relationship development, collaboration and organization.
  • Proven ability to write, develop relationships, lead project development and follow through; proactive vs reactive approach.
  • Experience in communications, PR and/or media services, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, including Microsoft Office expert proficiency.
Experience/ Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years professional experience, preferably communications or executive assistant
