Job summary

State of Hawai'i is seeking a Cook II for the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The role involves supervising and performing all cooking operations during a shift across multiple stations to feed a large number of meals.

Applicants must be able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Candidates should have three years of progressive quantity cooking experience, knowledge of cooking methods for meats, fish and poultry, and at least one year in a Cook II

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible quantity cooking experience.
• Knowledge of cooking methods for meats, fish and poultry (roasting, baking, broiling, frying).
• At least one year of experience comparable to Cook II in State service.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in cooking activities and is responsible for all cooking operations during an assigned work shift.
• May supervise one or more Cook II positions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
