Job summary

Evergy is seeking a Conventional Generation Project Sr Mgr to lead multi-billion-dollar conventional generation projects from origination to commercial operation. You will oversee project teams, budgets, schedules and stakeholder communications across internal and external partners.

This role requires engineering or related background, at least five years of large-scale project management experience, and strong leadership to drive execution on tight timelines in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance or related field.
• Five+ years of large-scale, multi-year project management experience.
• Diverse vendor and stakeholder collaboration experience; PMP encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of complex, multi-billion-dollar capital projects from origination to commercial operation.
• Navigate a matrixed stakeholder environment to ensure effective communication.
• Manage budgets, financial targets and resource allocation.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal rules.
• Lead project teams, mentor staff, and oversee vendor contracts.
