Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management in Scottsdale, AZ seeks an experienced Convention/Events Coordinator to manage group and convention bookings from start to turnover. You will plan guest rooms, menus, set-ups, and spaces, and work with sales and catering teams to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.

The role requires 2+ years in hotel catering/rooms experience, strong English communications, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hotel catering and rooms experience in hospitality
• Proven track record of quality service delivery
• Leadership experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written English communication
• Knowledge of hotel policies, catering and banquet operations

Responsibilities

• Plan, upsell and detail client programs including space, times, equipment, menus and setup
• Prepare resumes and paperwork to ensure quality service
• Monitor convention group room requirements and ensure commitments
• Manage event details to maximize revenue and minimize costs
• Lead pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
• Coordinate function requirements with hotel departments and resolve issues during events
