Job summary

The Omni Parker House in Boston is seeking a Senior Convention & Catering Services Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex events, from turnover through post-event follow-up.

You will partner with Sales, Catering, Culinary, Banquets, AV, Reservations, Revenue Management and other departments to deliver flawless experiences while protecting program profitability. This is a senior role with mentoring responsibilities within the Convention Services team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of convention services, catering, conference services, or hotel event management.
• Experience managing complex meetings and high-value programs.
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations and cross-department coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple programs with attention to detail.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of banquet revenue.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence working with senior clients, executives, meeting planners, and VIP guests.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the client experience from turnover through post-event follow-up.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and planners.
• Manage high-profile programs with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Lead planning meetings, site visits, tastings, and program reviews.
• Identify client needs and proactively propose solutions.
• Coordinate all event elements including space, F&B, AV, and decor.
• Review and maintain BEOs, resumes, rooming lists, timelines.
• Monitor program changes and communicate updates across teams.
• Ensure revenue goals and profitability are met.
• Lead by example and mentor junior staff.
