Job summary

Henderson Group in the Atlanta area is seeking a skilled Controls Technician for a day shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday–Friday). The role involves building PLC panels, programming and commissioning automated equipment, and supporting installation and maintenance across production lines.

Responsibilities include pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC troubleshooting, and robot/controller work. Requires 6+ years of related experience, strong electrical background, and ability to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 6 years of related experience.
• PLC programming using context clues within PLC programs.
• Ability to program a machine process from scratch.
• Experience wiring a 9-lead motor and stress-testing windings.
• Ability to identify critical information from motors' data plates for specs or components.
• Familiar with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, and dry contact.
• Analog control knowledge: 4-20mA and 0-10V signals.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting and panel building.
• Electrical experience and some robotics experience.
• Safety circuit integration.
• Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install pneumatic air logic controls from prints or schematics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with valves, cylinders, and pressure controls.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Use fabrication equipment knowledge to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operate or oversee equipment; analyze events; collaborate with engineers and production.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine upgrades.
• Repair machine controls and components; disassemble/reassemble equipment as needed.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
