Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer to join its engineering team in the Greater Seattle Area. The role focuses on design, programming, integration, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation systems for manufacturing and process control applications.

The position offers a mix of office-based engineering work and field commissioning at customer sites throughout the Pacific Northwest, with competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience, preferably with Allen-Bradley or similar platforms.
• Experience developing HMI/SCADA applications.
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus, Profinet).
• Familiarity with UL 508A, NEC, NFPA 79 standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial control systems including electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications for automation projects.
• Configure and commission VFDs, soft starters, and motor control systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems.
• Design and implement industrial Ethernet/serial networks and protocols.
• Perform factory testing, startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
