Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks a Controls Project Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of automated process systems.

You will focus on PLC programming, control panel engineering, HMI/SCADA development, and project execution within a team. The ideal candidate has hands-on controls engineering experience, strong attention to detail, and can drive projects from design through startup and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of controls experience.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation or Siemens PLC platforms.
• Experience in control panel design, electrical schematics, and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA such as FactoryTalk View or Ignition.
• Ability to read P&IDs, project specs, and engineering drawings.
• Willingness to travel ~30% and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and test PLC programs on Rockwell/Siemens platforms.
• Interpret project specifications and P&IDs to support system design.
• Create control narratives, functional descriptions, and drawings.
• Configure HMI/SCADA applications for operation and diagnostics.
• Design control panel schematics and enclosure layouts.
• Prepare BOMs, panel layouts, and submittal packages.
• Coordinate with project teams and support FAT/SAT, commissioning, and training.
• Manage engineering deliverables across multiple projects.
