Job summary
EnergyX is seeking a skilled Controls & Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in Austin, TX. The role focuses on design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for industrial applications.
You will design E&I systems, develop instrumentation specs, and validate via FAT/SAT, while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Travel up to 25% is required, and employees enjoy healthcare, PTO, equity, and 401K benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of instrumentation and control engineering experience in an industrial setting.
- NFPA 70E electrical training is required.
Responsibilities
- Design and build E&I and control systems, including panel wiring, PLC programming, HMI development, and SCADA integration.
- Develop instrumentation specifications and selection criteria for projects.
- Create and review P&IDs and control schematics.
- Perform commissioning, calibration, and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Prepare project documentation including control narratives, functional specs, and user manuals.
