Job summary

DNV Group is seeking an Automation & Control Systems Engineer in Austin, TX to design and implement control system solutions for utility, renewable energy, and industrial projects. The role emphasizes PLC programming, SCADA development, and field commissioning.

You will configure PLCs, RTUs, gateways, and SCADA systems, develop control narratives and IO mappings, and troubleshoot protocols like Modbus, DNP3, IEC-61850, and OPC-UA. FAT/SAT and cybersecurity aspects are included.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with control system design for utility or industrial clients preferred.
Knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols.

Responsibilities

Design and implement control system solutions for utility and industrial clients.
Configure PLCs, RTUs, gateways, PPC platforms, and SCADA systems.
Develop control narratives, I/O mappings, and communication matrices.
Configure and troubleshoot Modbus, DNP3, IEC-61850, and OPC-UA.
Perform FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Support cybersecurity best practices for ICS.
Investigate and resolve field communication and control issues.
Develop technical documentation and training materials.
