Job summary

CPG Beyond, Inc. in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Controls & Integration Engineer IV to lead complex SCADA/automation projects. You will design, program, and commission control systems, supervise a programming/configuration team, and ensure QA/QC throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include developing operation narratives, reviewing documents, and guiding field testing. Travel up to 30% is expected as part of project deployment across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with 8 years of field experience.
• Associate degree in mechanical or electrical field with 10 years field experience.
• High school diploma with 12 years field experience.
• 5 years’ experience with designing and servicing controls systems for switchgear, substations, metering and SCADA/Fault Data/SER/Integration- Automation equipment installation and testing.
• Experience in reading electrical and control schematics.
• Experience in control system startup, configuration, and calibration.
• Experience in testing and troubleshooting control and protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Design / Engineering for SCADA/Automation projects.
• Develops design documents narratives.
• Performs requirements analysis.
• Develops Sequence of Operations / System Functional Documentation.
• Creates Subsystem Designs (CAD / Panels / Layouts / Wiring / SCADA Screens / Hardware / Communications).
• Develops Specifications.
• Performs QA/QC and technical reviews of designs.
• Plans and Design Procedures and Equipment for Integrated Systems Factory Testing.
• Comment Resolution and review of third party design documents for large programs.
• Leads / supervises testing activities and prepares test reports.
• Commissioning of deployed systems and development of test equipment.
• Position may require around 30% out of town travel.
