Job summary

Johnson Controls in Manchester, NH is seeking a CMS Project Manager to lead large mechanical construction projects in the local area with some remote work and travel as needed. You will manage profitability, schedule, scope, safety, and contract compliance from planning through closeout, coordinating with sales, installation, engineering, and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture, or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of direct project management experience in building construction.
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple subcontractors and scopes.
• PMI/PMP certification commitment within two years.
• Willingness to travel as required by project assignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution for mechanical construction projects and coordinate the team.
• Support early TAS and development activities, including vendor selection and risk assessment.
• Develop and manage project schedules and execution against plan.
• Review contract scope and assess impact of changes and directives.
• Prepare change orders, cost estimates, and negotiate settlements.
• Manage costs, billings, and project cash flow.
• Maintain document controls and ensure safety/compliance.
• Coordinate materials procurement, deliveries, and subcontractor work.
• Build strong client, consultant, and contractor relationships.
