Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a PLC/Controls Master Mechanic for the South Bend, Indiana facility on 3rd shift (10pm to 6:30am). The role focuses on maintaining advanced control systems, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Candidates will bring 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC knowledge, and the ability to interpret electrical prints. A two-year technical degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience focusing on controls and electrical.
• Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting expertise.
• Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.
• Must pass Technical Aptitude Test for Master Mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and analytical services for control systems and equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant controls and electrical circuits.
• Complete repairs as needed and ensure safe operations.
• Work with instrumentation like pressure, temperature, level, and flow devices.
• Document data sheets and test records in the computer-based work order system.
• Follow safety principles and company values; support production schedule.
• Collaborate with team and demonstrate initiative on multi-tasking.
