Job summary

Wabash National Corporation in Lafayette, Indiana seeks an Electrical Controls Tech for 3rd shift. The role focuses on repairing, installing, and inspecting electronic systems, with hands-on duties across PLCs, robots, sensing systems, and vision equipment.

Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, programming PLCs, troubleshooting automation equipment, and supporting production needs. Training will be provided; pre-employment drug screen required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of Electrical Maintenance experience preferred.
• Robotic experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Experience with Cognex, Banner, Allen Bradley and Keyence automation equipment preferred.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading/writing and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and modify detailed engineering drawings and prints to adjust, test and repair equipment.
• Enter data in SAP PM (Plant maintenance).
• Program and trouble shoot PLC, robotics and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and servo drives.
• Interface with suppliers for maintenance parts.
• Support daily production requirements and engineering projects.
