Insight Global is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to support a hyperscale data center program. Based at our Atlanta, GA corporate headquarters, you will collaborate with the engineering consulting team to deliver BMS/BAS and EPMS hardware design packages from baseline through commissioning and closeout.

Qualifications

• 10+ years hardware design experience.
• 5+ years designing control panels, I/O layouts, wiring diagrams, and network architectures using AutoCAD that will be converted to Revit 2025 for BIM design.
• Experience developing controls hardware design packages for BMS, BAS, EPMS, industrial automation, or mission‑critical facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, control schematics, specifications, points lists, and sequences of operation.
• Working knowledge of control panels, PLC / DDC hardware, I/O modules, field devices, instrumentation, network architecture, and low‑voltage controls wiring.
• Experience coordinating with project managers, design teams, contractors, BIM/modeling resources, vendors, and commissioning teams.

Responsibilities

• Support development, coordination, and delivery of BMS/BAS and EPMS controls hardware design packages from baseline through approved submittals, construction coordination, commissioning readiness, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, design teams, contractors, BIM/modeling resources, vendors, and commissioning teams to meet aggressive schedules.
