Job summary

Fleet Data Centers in the United States is seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, implement, and optimize BMS and EPMS for hyperscale campuses.

You will lead PLC programming, system integration strategies, and standards, collaborating with engineering, construction, vendors, and operations to deliver reliable, efficient, and sustainable data center operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of controls engineering experience, including 3+ years in data centers or similar mission-critical environments.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience with Rockwell and Siemens.
• Proficiency with EPLAN, AutoCAD, and controls integration methodologies.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and PLC-based controls solutions for large-scale data center projects.
• Develop controls software, sequences of operation, system architectures, graphical interfaces, and commissioning documentation.
• Create controls drawings, panel designs, instrumentation specs, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and integration documentation.
• Support installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and optimization of controls systems.
• Partner with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and commissioning agents to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
