Insight Global is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer to support a hyperscale data center program. This role will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Atlanta, GA in order to work directly with our engineering consulting team. This role will support the development, coordination, and delivery of BMS / BAS and EPMS controls hardware design packages from current design baseline through approved submittals, construction coordination, commissioning readiness, and closeout documentation.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong controls hardware designer who can move quickly, coordinate across disciplines, and produce accurate, construction-ready documentation. This person must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced data center environment where design quality, schedule discipline, documentation accuracy, and field responsiveness directly impact commissioning success.
Preferred Qualifications Background supporting mission critical or hyperscale projects. Example: data center, hospitals, pharma and semi-conductor industry Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ignition SCADA, BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, EPMS, and BMS / BAS platforms. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM coordination workflows, Bluebeam, Procore, SharePoint, or similar project delivery tools. Experience supporting 30% / 60% / 90% submittal cycles, IFC packages, as-built documentation, and commissioning deliverables. Knowledge of construction-phase controls coordination, vendor integration, and field issue resolution.
