Job summary

Hydro Resources - Rocky Mountain is seeking an Automation/Controls Field Technician 3 to perform installation, wiring, maintenance, and startup of electrical and control systems for commercial water wells. Duties include field wiring, VFDs, telemetry, SCADA, PLC/HMI work, and documentation.

The role requires field service experience, safe work practices, and the ability to travel to various sites including out-of-state locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record for field service.
• DOT physical and LMS safety training as required.
• Experience wiring, testing, and troubleshooting electrical/controls.
• Familiarity with telemetry, PLC, HMI, and SCADA basics.
• Ability to interpret basic electrical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including out-of-state.

Responsibilities

• Perform field-service work on commercial water-well pumping systems and related equipment.
• Install, wire, test, troubleshoot, and startup pumps, motors, and control panels.
• Configure and startup submersible water-well pumps and VFDs.
• Conduct electrical testing with voltmeters, ammeters, and other tools.
• Document work activities in CRM and company records.
• Travel to customer locations, including out-of-state sites.
• Maintain safety procedures, PPE, and equipment in good condition.
