Job summary

HireNow Staffing is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineering Supervisor for our client in Lancaster, Ohio. The role leads a controls engineering team, directing projects from planning through commissioning while ensuring safety and compliance.

Strong PLC, SCADA/HMI, and lean improvement experience are essential. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in controls engineering within manufacturing and at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years controls engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years engineering leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Experience with SCADA/HMI and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Controls Engineers.
• Manage controls engineering projects from planning through implementation.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, staffing, and resources.
• Direct design, installation, programming, testing, and commissioning of control systems.
• Integrate PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other automation technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical controls and system issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety regs and engineering standards.
• Provide technical guidance on upgrades and capital projects.
