Job summary

Rauch & Associates seeks a Senior Controls Engineer for a large global manufacturer’s machining/assembly plant in Northeast Mississippi, about two hours from Birmingham. You’ll own controls improvements on automated lines, lead troubleshooting during major repairs, manage suppliers on new equipment, and mentor engineers and technicians around you.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automation, ideally in a manufacturing plant.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience managing outside vendors and projects on cost and schedule.
• Ability to draw/read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Own controls improvements on automated lines and processes.
• Lead troubleshooting during major repairs and downtime events.
• Manage suppliers on new equipment projects.
• Mentor engineers and technicians around you.

• Siemens PLCs and TIA Portal are your daily tools
• You've worked with Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated and ASI-Bus
• FANUC robots, FANUC or Cognex vision, and Atlas Copco tools are familiar ground
• You can draw and read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• You've run projects with outside vendors and kept them on budget and on schedule
• You have 7+ years in automation, ideally in a manufacturing plant
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering
