Job summary

Rauch & Associates is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer for a global manufacturer with a large Northeast Mississippi machining and assembly plant. You will enhance electrical, robotic, and PLC automation on production lines and lead critical repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 7+ years in automation, and strong Siemens PLC/TIA Portal expertise. Relocation support is provided; on-site work in Northeast Mississippi is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
• 7+ years of automation experience, manufacturing preferred.
• Extensive Siemens PLC and TIA Portal experience.
• Profibus, Profisafe, Safety Integrated and ASI-Bus knowledge.
• FANUC robots and vision, Cognex vision and Atlas Copco tools (strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of electrical codes; mechanical and safety codes a plus.
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Improve and modify existing electrical, robotic and PLC automation on machining lines.
• Troubleshoot hard problems and lead emergency repairs when a line stops.
• Run capital projects with outside suppliers, on schedule and on budget.
• Keep records and documentation to ISO standards; support Six Sigma projects.
• Mentor technicians and engineers.
